EnOcean Gateway VL-700 BASE

The VL-700 BASE serves as an IoT edge controller and EnOcean gateway which, with the pre-installed software, is able to receive and interpret data from up to 500 EnOcean sensors via 32 EnoDisc® and send it to a cloud, for example. Optionally, the data can also be analyzed locally and/or transferred to the building automation system. The usual interfaces such as BACnet, OPC UA, KNX, MODBUS TCP and many more are available in a project. available.

Scalable EnOcean IoT gateway solution for your project

The example shows an EnOcean gateway solution with 6 of up to 32 possible EnOcean wireless receivers of the EnoDisc® type. These are connected to a central Ethernet switch via Ethernet (the EnoDisc® is powered via PoE+). The VL-700 BASE is usually located in an IT rack and is supplied with 24V DC via an industrial-grade power supply unit. With this structure, data from up to 500 EnOcean sensors can be received and processed wirelessly.

Use of existing IT infrastructure in your project

The example shows an EnOcean gateway solution with 6 of up to 32 possible EnOcean radio receivers in the version as HPE aruba Networking Access Point with EnOcean USB stick. The latest version of the VL-700 BASE EnOcean Gateway supports up to 4 MQTT Broker connections simultaneously. This means you can send your sensor data to a cloud processor in parallel, transfer it locally to your building automation system for automation, make it available to your support desk at the same time and continue working on your system (sandbox).
