1. Handling of data when accessing this website

1.1 log files

We need to collect and store certain information in order to enable you to access our website. When you visit our website, our internet server automatically records the domain name or IP address of the requesting computer as well as the access date, the file request from the client (file name and URL), the HTTP response code, and the website from which You visit us and the number of bytes transferred during the connection (so-called log files). This data is deleted as soon as you end your visit to our website. For purposes stipulated by law – in particular the detection of misuse and the detection and elimination of technical faults – we store your IP address for a period of seven days.

1.2 Website analysis with Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, an analysis service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this app is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google Analytics was used for our website in such a way that your IP address is recorded anonymously (so-called “IP masking”). As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and only be shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the activities on the website and to provide us with other services related to the use of the website. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.

2. Handling of data when using website functionalities

We can now or in the future offer you further functionalities on this website for which personal data or other information must be collected, e.g. if you send us questions or feedback via a contact form or if you register for a newsletter. In these cases, mandatory information is marked as such.

Without your further consent, we will only collect, process and use such data and information to the extent necessary for the respective functionality (e.g. to answer your question, process your feedback or to send you the newsletter). The data entered by you and the data collected or processed in this context will only be transmitted to third parties if this is necessary and legally permissible for the implementation and processing of your request. For example, the service providers we use receive the necessary data to send the newsletter. The transmitted data may only be used by our service providers on the basis of corresponding contracts to fulfill their task.

The data collected or processed in connection with your request will be deleted or blocked in compliance with legal requirements. Your personal data will be deleted in particular if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored or to fulfill legal retention requirements, or if its storage is not permitted for other legal reasons.

3. Further handling of data

We collect, process and use your personal data on the basis of your consent, except in the legally permissible cases. We can offer you the option of granting such consent, e.g. through a clickable / tickable field (“checkbox”) on this or another website or other means (e.g. one of our advertising media).

The type, scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data – including possible recipients of personal data to be transmitted – result from the text of the consent. You can revoke your consent at any time without giving reasons.

All personal data will only be stored as long as is necessary for the stated purpose (processing your request or processing a contract). Based on the average project duration, we assume a storage period of 2 years. Taking into account retention periods under tax and commercial law, the storage period can increase to up to 10 years.

4. Newsletter

When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will only be used for this purpose. Subscribers can also be informed by email about circumstances that are relevant for the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
For an effective registration, we need at least one valid email address. In order to check that the registration is actually made by the owner of an email address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. For this purpose, we log the order for the newsletter, the dispatch of a confirmation email and the receipt of the response requested. The data will only be used to send the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. There is a corresponding link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe directly on this website at any time or inform us of your request using the contact option given at the end of this data protection notice.

6. Embedded YouTube Videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube servers is established. In doing so, YouTube is informed which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google ad program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.
