The EnoSense USB patented by us is a real innovation:
In modern open-space offices with flexibly bookable PC workstations / workstations, a wide variety of sensors are used to detect the actual use or occupancy of a previously booked workstation and, at the same time, to dim the workstation lighting to save energy if possible when absent.
In order to improve the detection of sedentary activities, combined sensors such as our EnoPuck CO2 are currently used, which already offer very good presence detection.
Nevertheless, the slight movement of the individual person during pure PC work can sometimes not be reliably recognized.
Our patented solution eliminates this common problem:
The basis is an EnOcean USB stick and PC software (driver), which is installed on a Windows PC and automatically started with the operating system.
The PC then sends a radio message (EnOcean) every time the keyboard or mouse is operated, which is identical to that of an EnOcean motion detector (EEP A5-07-01).
Important: In the interests of data protection, the characters entered are not interpreted or recorded, only a so-called keyboard or mouse event is monitored.
This information can now be used by cloud applications or locally for presence-dependent control such as the workplace lighting,
The simple software, which is displayed in the system tray of the PC via an icon, currently offers the following functions:
- Autostart Default setting, is executed every time Windows is started
- Interval Send interval, adjustable (10 s, 30 s, 60 s, 120 s)
- DATA Sends a data telegram “Movement detected”, EEP A5-07-01
- LRN Sends a learning / teach in telegram
- About Displays the version information
- Quit Quit the program
The software runs on almost every Windows PC with a free USB interface and makes no special demands on the PC hardware.
