You provide us with a table in which you state the desired marking for each sensor. You also specify which VL-700 BASE is to process this sensor data. For this purpose, we will provide you with a template in consultation, which you then fill in with your data and send back to us.
The EnoSense Wall & Desk multi-sensors offer the option of detecting the presence of people at the workplace by detecting the slightest vibrations.
The sensor, which is snapped into a housing, is preferably attached to the table top at a corner of the workplace with a double-sided adhesive pad. Depending on the color of the table, the sensor is available in a black, white or beige housing. In this case, the energy is supplied via the surface of the sensor, which consists of a highly efficient solar cell.
The information is transmitted via the EnOcean wireless standard. Both the sensitivity and the transmission frequency of the telegrams can be configured via NFC.
The following sensors are available for use as pure presence detection:
• Vibration: sensitivity 0.03 g
In addition, additional sensors are integrated for further evaluations or integration into the building automation:
• Temperature: -20 .. +50 ° C
• Humidity: 0 – 100%
• Brightness: 0 – 65,000 lux
The basic function – presence detection via vibration of the table surface
The integrated vibration sensor of the EnoSense Wall & Desk Multisensor detects the smallest vibrations, which typically occur when using the keyboard, mouse or other activities at the desk.
The multi-sensor sends this information immediately the first time it occurs, and then again at a configurable time interval.

Added value through integrated sensors
The EnoSense Wall & Desk has a large number of sensors which, in addition to its function as a presence detector, make it particularly interesting for use in smart spaces. Here are all the sensors in brief:

• Brightness: 0 – 65,000 lux
For example, adjust the brightness at the workplace dynamically by using the measured value of the integrated brightness sensor. Our EnOcean DALI controllers, for example, are available for this purpose. Wireless configuration via NFC
You can configure the EnoSense Wall & Desk sensors using NFC on any iOS or Android mobile phone. Here you can see some example screenshots of the app. You first connect to the sensor via the NFC interface. You can then change the configuration according to the requirement.
If you choose our optional configuration service as an additional option in a project, this also includes the preconfiguration of all sensor settings. You then no longer have to configure anything on the sensor yourself.
Easiest assembly and commissioning
The EnoSense Wall & Desk multi-sensor is supplied via the integrated solar cell. In addition, a CR1632 battery can be used in poor lighting conditions.
The EnoSense Wall & Desk can either be used on a flat surface as a table sensor or hung on the wall or a door. The assembly is preferably carried out with double-sided adhesive tape. This is included in the scope of delivery.
The sensor itself can simply be removed from the housing again, should this be necessary.
Optional: configuration – turnkey delivery for your project
As an optional service, we offer you the pre-configuration of all system components. This also includes the EnoSense Wall & Desk.
Below you can see the essential work steps that we take on for you for a better understanding:
The sensors are configured by us according to your specifications via NFC. Finally, the configuration is protected with (your) password to prevent third parties from changing the parameters on site.
We equip the sensors with a CR1632 backup battery as standard. This means that the sensors can be used immediately on site and can be tested immediately at any time, even after a long shipping route.
The battery also enables temporary or permanent use in weakly lit areas.
In this step, the EnOcean ID is assigned to the serial number of the sensor. This ensures at all times that, in the event of a possible fault, we can take the appropriate action right down to the device.
We mark the sensor by applying a label (25 x 12 mm) to the protective film of the solar cell. This will be printed by us according to your specifications. After installation, you can easily remove this label together with the protective film of the solar cell without leaving any residue.
We mount the sensor in the housing with the color of your choice. There are currently beige, black and white to choose from (please note the different article numbers).
We are already equipping the case with a double-sided adhesive strip on the underside. So you won’t be missing this later during assembly.
Finally, the recorded sensor data is imported into the VL-700 BASE and tested by us 24 hours a day. In this way we ensure that the sensors work as ordered, e.g. with regard to your EnOcean ID, the desired transmission frequency and the required sensitivity.
We will provide you with the configuration file created in this way when the VL-700 BASE is delivered.
In the end, you have a fully tested and executable system available upon delivery.
Prerequisite: You also need the configuration service for the VL-700 BASE and the required EnoDisc®, as the VL-700 BASE requires the data such as the IP configuration of the EnoDisc and the data for the cloud interface in order to be ready for use immediately upon delivery .
