You provide us with a table in which you state the desired marking for each sensor. You also specify which VL-700 BASE is to process this sensor data. For this purpose, we will provide you with a template in consultation, which you then fill in with your data and send back to us.
The EnoSense PIR ceiling sensor offers the option of detecting the movement of people in the room via a passive infrared sensor (PIR) and transmitting the current status (movement detected / no movement detected) via radio (EnOcean).
The sensor electronics, which are built into a modern plastic housing, are attached to the ceiling (vertical detection) or to the wall (horizontal detection) with a double-sided adhesive pad or with screws.
The energy is supplied via the integrated solar cell when there is sufficient ambient light. An optional backup battery ensures maintenance-free operation without servicing, even in complete darkness with a service life of typically 5 years or longer. The information is transmitted via the EnOcean wireless standard.
The following information is available for the evaluation in the preset EEP A5-07-03:
• Movement detected / not detected
• Brightness: 10 bit
• Supply voltage: 8 bit
Detection of movement – the sensors
The PIR sensor technology used in the EnoSense Motion ceiling detects the movement of people.
The EnoSense Motion ceiling sends this information immediately after a first movement has been detected.
If there is continuous movement, the sensor sends another message “Movement detected” every 60 seconds.
If there is no movement, the sensor sends “No movement detected” every 120 seconds.

It is not a presence detector. Minimal movement of the person is required for recognition, regardless of whether they are sitting, standing or walking.

Easiest assembly and commissioning – no external power supply required
The EnoSense PIR ceiling is supplied via the solar cell and the optional CR2032 backup battery.
The sensor can detect moving people either vertically on a wall or horizontally on the ceiling. The assembly is done with double-sided adhesive tape or screws. This is both included in the scope of delivery.
Should it be necessary, the backup battery can easily be changed. The remaining battery voltage is transferred to the cloud application with each telegram and can be evaluated there for predictive maintenance.

The sensors are configured by us according to your specifications via NFC. Finally, the configuration is protected with (your) password to prevent third parties from changing the parameters on site.
We equip the sensors with a CR1632 backup battery as standard. This means that the sensors can be used immediately on site and can be tested immediately at any time, even after a long shipping route.
The battery also enables temporary or permanent use in weakly lit areas.
In this step, the EnOcean ID is assigned to the serial number of the sensor. This ensures at all times that, in the event of a possible fault, we can take the appropriate action right down to the device.
We mark the sensor by applying a label (25 x 12 mm) to the protective film of the solar cell. This will be printed by us according to your specifications. After installation, you can easily remove this label together with the protective film of the solar cell without leaving any residue.
Finally, the recorded sensor data is imported into the VL-700 BASE and tested by us 24 hours a day. In this way we ensure that the sensors work as ordered, e.g. with regard to your EnOcean ID, the desired transmission frequency and the required sensitivity.
We will provide you with the configuration file created in this way when the VL-700 BASE is delivered.
In the end, you have a fully tested and executable system available upon delivery.
Prerequisite: You also need the configuration service for the VL-700 BASE and the required EnoDisc®, as the VL-700 BASE requires the data such as the IP configuration of the EnoDisc and the data for the cloud interface in order to be ready for use immediately upon delivery .
